terrorism in the West Bank .... performed by settlers. Here however the acts are called "disturbances" and the word "terrorism" doesn't appear anywhere in the article. But ... I thought that in Israel, crime = terrorism. Well well. Never has it been more obvious that it's only "terorrism" when Arabs do it. The racism is apparently ingrained very deeply there, and enshrined in law.

From the page: "it has never been easier to propagate hatred and lies". This article argues the negative view of the internet as a social organizing tool, claiming that it fuels hatred.

I have a different take on it. The ease of communication makes the internet very tempting to use, leaving a permanent quasi-public written record of the activities of these people. The author himself has tons of information about their public activities - because of the internet. If the haters were still simply using the library and meeting only in person, we'd have no idea what they're up to. I think this way is better. Hatred won't go away until it is first dragged out into the open for all to see. The internet enables this moral scrutiny to happen. It's a good thing.

If I was the generalizing type, I would say by now that it seems pretty clear - Africans are not fans of justice. Dude here is alleged to have committed a crime, but "Royals" are always above the law, no matter what they do. Logic doesn't enter into it at all. When you add up Kenya's post-election violence, Zimbabwe's corruption, Sudan/Darfur's staged protests over international justice for genocide, and now this .... overall, it's extremely unimpressive. Will the continent of Africa join the new millenium, or will they stay down in the dark ages all by themselves?
